2012 Scholar - Eric Galante

U.S. Sen. Dick Lugar presented Munster High School student Eric Galante with a four-year $4,000 college scholarship on Saturday, May 19, 2012, at an Indianapolis banquet honoring outstanding minority high school seniors from across the state.

 

Galante served as a youth group board member for the Congregation Beth Israel and as a counselor in training at Camp Ramah. He was a member of National Honor Society, Eagle River Children’s Museum and the Hospice Hustle. He volunteered for the non-profit organization KaBoom, to build playgrounds in impoverished neighborhoods. He also worked part-time and served as a baseball umpire for the Munster Little League.

 

Galante attends Indiana University.
