2012 Scholar - Ryan Perry

U.S. Sen. Dick Lugar presented Hamilton Southeastern High School student Ryan Perry with a four-year $20,000 college scholarship on Saturday, May 19, 2012, at an Indianapolis banquet honoring outstanding minority high school seniors from across the state.


Perry served as Student Body Liaison, Senior Class Representative of the Principal’s Advisory Council, Vice President of the American Sign Language Club, captain of the Varsity Swimming and Diving team, and as a member of the Student Athletic Council. He also participated in Swing Dancing Club, National Honor Society, Interact Club, and the Ping Pong Club. He worked as a lifeguard and swim team coach, and volunteered for the Indiana Black Expo, Durban Elementary, and Grey Eagle Park.


Perry attends Indiana University.
